Brian Feroldi - Invest In Your Mindset
Being human provides a distinct disadvantage while attempting to invest optimally. The issue is, we are emotional. The psychological aspect of investing is one that is discussed often and the ability to control emotion is argued by many to be the single most important aspect of an investor's strategy. For this reason, I thought the subject of psychology in investing may provide a fantastic discussion with one of the great minds of our current day, Brian Feroldi! @BrianFeroldiYT
In this episode, Brian and I discuss;
2:02 What psychological hurdles do investors need to conquer if they are to be successful investors?
4:00 How can investors maintain conviction during a bear market?
7:15 How can investors maintain control over emotions such as FOMO?
10:00 How can investors adjust their portfolios based on their personalities/circumstances?
13:37 How can investors prepare themselves for downside risk?
20:44 Is Brain’s strategy set or does he still tweak it now and then?
22:55 Should we study psychological or technical expertise from great investors?
25:30 Final thoughts and tips from Brian

Joe Brown - Macro or Micro?
Regardless if I am interviewing Joe Brown or listening to Joe’s pod “Financial Heresy”, the guy never disappoints!
In this interview with Joe Brown I had the opportunity to pick Joe’s brain on some of the issues that have been plaguing me while developing my investment philosophy. Starting with one of the most important questions that an investor will inevitably ask themselves “should I focus on the macro, or the micro”.
In this episode Joe and I discuss,
03:21 Does Joe Brown prefer a top-down (macro) or bottom-up (micro) approach to investing
08:39 Joe Brown’s thoughts on timing the market
17:10 Where/when can we find opportunity in the stock market?
21:50 Portfolio allocation
31:55 When to rebalance
38:06 What Joe Brown has learned while building his YouTube channel
51:23 What we can learn from successful businesses
Thanks for watching/listening!
